It's one of the best-rounded combination of design and capacity we've seen in a refrigerator of this price, and it comes with an excellent array of additional features. This includes a digital temperature display that is more precise than dials and an alarm that will notify you when the refrigerator is left open, and an air-blaster system that circulates cool air into the refrigerator when it's closed. Both LG and Samsung models come with the standard layout, which includes side-by-side plastic crisper drawers; adjustable glass shelves for the fridge on both sides of the refrigerator and a freezer section that includes an Ice maker. In the freezer, there are two layers of pull-out freezer drawers with adjustable separators as well as a shelves that can be customized. The ice maker on these models produces 2 ½ pounds of ice per day, and comes with the option of adding “ice plus” if you need more. Side-by-side refrigerators typically cost less than a French door fridge, but they do have some drawbacks. The narrow double doors do not provide as much storage room, and the refrigerator compartment is known to have slightly less capacity than a French door model. The freezer is smaller and offers fewer options for shelving or bins to organize frozen food items.
